saddle fit

I am a beginner in every sense of the word so please forgive me. How do I determine if my saddle is the right fit for my horse? How do you determine what tack is right for your horse? What is your favorite publication to learn about these things? My riding interests are western and pleasure trail.

I would highly recommend that you contact a Professional Saddle Maker, who also fits. Just because they make saddles, does not mean you have to buy one of their products - they are there to help you find the right saddle for the both of you, within your means.

I would contact Tack Stores and ask them for Names of Saddle Makers/Fitters in your area, and go from there.
