Saddle fit

Ok when buying a used saddle and the owner does not know the tree size is there any way to measure and where on the saddle do you? My future hubbys horse need 3/4 bar and has fallen in love with a saddle a friends has for sale. But I want to know tree size first. Any advice on how and where to measure and what measurments would it be for diff tree size?

And another thing I want to add is some times I am emberessed to post because I have a sever case of dyslexia. So please bare with me on my spelling and grammar. It always looks right to me but others think what the hell wrong with this lady

Since the seller is a friend, why not just ask to borrow the saddle for a fit trial and take it home to try on the horse. That'll be much more productive than measurements anyway.

Because the friend is out of state and we have only seen pictures. I will do some internet searching and see what I can find. Thanks for the response

3/4 bar? There is no such animal. There is semi-qh bars, qh bars, full qh bars, arab bars, etc. No 3/4 bar.

Generally, if the saddle measures 6.25" or less at the gullet, between where the conchose are, then it's semi-qh bars. Around 6.5" is qh bars. 6.75" or wider is full qh bar. That said, many manufacturers are different.
