Saddle fitting, which one fits him better??

I am looking to get back into riding, but I want to make sure my saddle fits my horse. Of these two saddles does one or the other fit better? My boy is a percheron cross, he is not huge, built like a really big QH. He stands about 15.2 hands I believe. I just have the two saddles, otherwise I will have to sell both saddles to get a new one that fits him. Thanks.


EDIT: Forgot to mention, he does seem to ride better in the brown saddle. The black one I have to use a lot of padding to keep it from digging into his withers up there by the front conchos.

The brown one is riding up in the back. That's a problem.

Yea and you can feel it while riding, the ride is a lot more rough as it bounces. We have not done a lot of ridding this year but we want to. I have ridden him in the round pen at a walk and a trot. The brown one seems more comfortable for him but like you said it rides up. Would a back cinch help?? Or am I better off getting a new saddle?

The black one looks to fit him all over. Why not use that one instead of buying another saddle?

A back cinch won't make the saddle fit better, it'll just hold the back end down.

If the saddle's riding up in the back, it's too wide for the horse in front.

Reason I don't like using the black saddle is I am a heavier rider and I have to double pad under the black saddle to keep it from "digging" into his withers. He actually rides better with the brown one, doesn't throw his head.
