Saddle help?

I'm looking for a saddle that would go good with a chestnut, (Havana, Australian nut, Black, oak bark ect.) and I have no clue what type to get! No close contact as i don't like how thin they are with the knee rolls, and no AP because I plan on jumping higher. No wintec either please! I'd say nothing over 700 right now, and I'm a size 17.

Some of the close contact saddles are deep-seated and/or have huge knee rolls and also padded flaps. You just have to look.

Black is for eventing, not the show ring. If you plan to show, get a cc with a square cantle, not an AP.

What horse are you trying to fit? Table-backs and wide horses need a totally different tree shape and width than what you'd use on a TB.

You're really limiting the selection if you don't want CC or AP. The only two styles left for what you want to do are dressage and jumping.

You can find plenty of good quality used saddles for less than $700.00, so that shouldn't be an issue.

There are saddles market as "eventing saddle" but they generally are either an AP type saddle with a deeper seat & round cantle, or a beefed-up close contact.

This might help:
