saddle issues

First off, I love my treeless saddle(Barefoot Cheyenne)'s like a cloud on my butt. It works great on rocky and napoleon. The only thing is I can't get the girth in the right position(maybe I have the wrong girth?) it sits pretty far back(on every horse) and gets in the way of my leg cues. When I use it on rio, who is all leg cues he gets confused and grumpy. If I go bareback he understand the cues and gets better. I am frusterated. I don't want to buy and uncomfortable saddle, but I want my horse to undertand what i'm asking him.

What kind of girth are you using? If your saddle has the same billet straps as the one in the photo you should be using a dressage girth, which shouldn't be able to get in the way of your legs.

I went ahead and got an english saddle, I figured I would need it in time for my riding lesson anyway. I put a breastcollar on the treeless and it kept the dressage girth in the right place...i think rio just has high withers and the saddle slides without a tree.
