What to do you think on this saddle. I don't really ride in one, but if im breaking a horse in they kinda need to learn ride with one.

The saddle is more of a pony saddle then a horse saddle. A 5" gullet is VERY small and 14" seat is for a very small, thin, person.

I'm not arguing with you, I'm just explaining why I'm right.

Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.

A standard gullet for a horse starts at 6" and can go to 8" or more. Typically an average QH will be in the 6 3/4 to 7 range.

I agree, it looks tiny! I am fairly petite and still use a 16" seat.

14 in seat would be a small/skinny/petite woman ... I use a 15 inch in a western saddle and a 16.5 in an enlgish. I am 5'7 and wear like a 7/8 pant ... so hope that helps you figure out the size you need.

Check craigslist for saddles.

Thank you everyone. I will have to remember the gullet size for sure! I know I ride in a 14" its just that's about all I know on saddles. ;) Oh and how to put it on of course!

I have looked on craigslist and everywhere else. There really isnt that much around here. Saddles are usually passed down. The tack shop is outrageous as well.
