    Saddle pad usage?

I'm looking at getting Ice a different saddle pad, one with built up shoulders, since he has ridiculously high TB withers. I'm looking at getting this one

Charmayne James Signature Series SMx Air Ride™ OrthoSport Barrel Saddle Pads - Barrel Racing Pads

Even though its a "barrel racing" there a difference? My saddle has a rounded skirt, so I don't think it will rub or hang over. I don't plan on barrel racing just to be clear, at least not until maaybe early next year. He's just a trail horse for me.

Anyone have any opinions? Anyone with this saddle pad?

I wish I could help you, but I know nothing about western saddles and how they fit, nor do I know anything about western pads - but I know that there are a few Western Guru's on here who would beable to help you out.

I have never used that pad myself but I know quite a few people that have and they like it. And no it doesnt matter if your not actually barrel racing as long as it correctly fits under you saddle.
