Saddle Pads

I just need to make a simple schooling pad for my horse. I can sew, that is if I have a pattern. That is where my problem pops up. Does anyone know where I can find a free saddle pad pattern on the internet or be willing to email one?

Are you at a barn?? If so borrow someones pad that you like the style of, and trace it on to some material. You need 2 lots of material, and then one lot of fill. Make sure you stitch a pattern into the pad to keep the fill in place. And then sew ribbon or something as a binding on the edges.

Sorry for like bumping this back up, but go to "suitability.com" They have a bunch of patterns for sewing horsey stuff.

It sounds like it good be fun making your own saddle pad. I can only imagine all the cool patterns you could use!

I made a few pairs of polo wraps a few years ago. Once it was all said and done except for the fact they were the barns coolest patterned polos, they ended up costing me as much if not more to make and it was a pain.

Be careful at the amount of money you spend. It may not cost you any less to make.
