Yeah, well, I don't have the time or the money to go through dozens of saddles. This saddle will do for me. I barely had enough money to buy this one saddle.

Also, as I have told people time and time again, I don't have access to "professional help." There is no saddler anywhere around me, at least not one that deals with English saddles.

I will take pictures of the saddle on my ONE horse and let y'all see if it fits him.

I wasn't trying to upset you by explaining that one saddle won't fit three horses, I was just trying to help. I understand not having money for multiple saddles, believe me! I'm feeling plenty broke myself these days. I just wanted you to be well aware that if you are going to use one horse for that wide of a variety of horses, you - for sure - will be making one or more of those horses very sore. In the meantime, please send pictures. We would all be more than willing to offer our best advice on how that saddle is fitting your horses. We're just looking out for your best interest (and your horses!)

Okay, I'll post pictures later.

I am feeling kinda frustrated because I wanted this saddle to work. I have been dying to get back into an English saddle for 3 years. All I've been able to do is ride Western. If this saddle works, I will be able to ride English again! That would make me so happy! I'll post pictures.

There's a good chance you'll have to buy more then 1 girth to fit that range but it's hard to know what sizes you'd need without trying it on the horse. I ride anything from small welsh ponies (which use a 44 or 46) to giant selle francais (54ish) and anything and everything inbetween. I use my 48 the most.

There's a chance your saddles could fit both horses, height isn't the determining factor in whether or not your saddle will fit. I ride horses for a living which means I ride a pretty wide range and I'm certainly not going to buy a saddle for each horse I ride. I haven't had any issues having my saddle fit (no back problems) but I do own a bunch of different pads for those that are harder to fit.

Yeah, I think I'll get a few pads, some thicker, some thinner. I just have to try my saddle on the horses. I'll probably do that either this weekend or next.

Everyone has been right, so I won't repeat. Here are some favorite online tackstores that you can find a lot from. Good luck. :]
