Which saddle would look best on my paint horse? (Pics!)

Hello all!


I'm new to horse fourms, and I need your opinions! I'm buying new tack for my 3yo paint gelding...and I can't decide which saddle would look best! My colors are black and red (Red pro choice saddle pad, red and black elite equine boots...front and back, red tie down/noseband, black headstall and black and red braided reins.) Which of these saddles do you think would look best on him?

I personally like the second one, but its all in your decision. Good luck with our choice! :(

I like the first one better.
It'd look nice with a blue colored pad.

The first one looks higher quality (to me).

Go by what fits you and your horse best. (I know that can be really hard to know if you are buying over the internet). Picking a saddle by what looks best is like buying a horse based only on it's color!

Also, consider what features you might like best. For instance, round skirts vs. square. Regular swells vs. the swept back bear-trap swells on the second one. The first saddle might have more of a rise to the seat, the 2nd one looks fairly flat, etc.

Are there any indications on which tree might fit your horse better?

I like the first saddle and it would look better with a red blanket
But I would go with fit over looks

Whichever one fits your horse correctly.

They will both fit him, and i've sat in both so they both suit me...i just can't decide on the physical appearance!

I don't like the white on the saddle

Welcome to the forum.

Remember that neither one will stay the color it is now. Both will darken with wear and oiling. The second one will keep you more secure due to the design.
