Saddle... your oppinion?

Ok I need a new saddle bad! I only have an english saddle and its not being nice to me right now so I locked it in the trailer. Lol

So I want a westurn saddle since I'm moving to an AMAZING new barn. As soon as you leave the gait you are on 1000 of miles of trails. How amazing is that!!!!! There are also tons of people to ride with.

I really like this saddle... your oppinion?

Looks like a pretty nice saddle to me.

Always remember that feeling of looking at a big, open country over the ears of a good horse, seeing a new trail unwind ahead of you, and that ever-spectacular view from the top of the ridge!!! Follow my training blog: http://robertsontraining.blogspot.com/

YOu are aware that a 16 inch Western saddle is much larger than a 16 inch English saddle? Forgive me if I am stating the obvious to you.
Otherwise it looks really nice. I don't personally like such tall horns, but it's hard to avoid them.

I LOVE Dakota Saddles. The only problem I ever had with them is that they are squeeky little buggers and take a while to break, but that's more of an annoyance than a problem. So comfy, good quality, and great price! That looks like a very nice saddle.

Oh, and western horses are, in general, stocky and muscular, and full quarter horse bars are meant to fit them. You might want a Semi-qh bars saddle, I have an appendix quarter horse who is built more like a thoroughbred, and semi fits him well. Forgive me also, If I am stating the obvious to you.

Dakota is a good brand. I am not fond of flex trees but...
As far as squeaks, baby powder will take care of that.

Here's some other ones, brand new. Dakota Saddles Not quite as cheap as the one you had, but some are actually cheaper.

Because I have one of their saddles and I will give a shameless company plug whenever I get a chance, you can get a custom saddle from Corriente for about the same price as the used Dakota you were looking at. I love mine, most comfortable saddle I've ever put my butt in and haven't had a sore horse yet.
