In Search Of New Boots...

Well, my "Everyday" riding boots are finally biting the dust. The stitching is all coming undone and the soles are coming off. So I am in the search of a new pair of "Everyday" boots.

I have my show boots, which I am not permitted to wear, aside from shows, and while I do love Mountain Horse Boots, I don't have the funds to invest in a pair that are priced $200 or more.

So I am looking at some that are on sale right now through Dover and wanted to know your opinions on these particular boots.

Right now they have some Ovation Field Boots on sale, Zip Up *which I prefer* and the particular model is the Ovation Finalist Pro Zip Up Field Boot for $149.00

Then they have the Ovation Finalist Pro Plus Zip Up Field Boot on sale for $169.90

They also have Dublins on sale. The Dublin RCS Aritocrat Zip Field Boot on sale for $149.90.

Then I see the Dublin High Point Field Boot Zip Up is on sale for $129.90

And one I've never heard of - Camden Zip-Back Field Boot is on sale for $179.90

What are your thoughts on these boots? Do they hold up through daily wear and tear? Are the comfortable? Are they strong?

I can't comment on what you've listed, but my "show boots" are Ariat Crowne Pros. When I thought about buying a cheaper pair for everyday use a lot of people told me the leather in cheap Ariats (Heritages and Challenges) was terrible quality. So there's another pair to cross off the list if you were looking!

What I actually got was full grain english chaps (full chaps, not half). Haven't got to wear em yet though!

I can't offer any advise, I just wanted to thank you for asking this question, as I'll be on the lookout soon for a new pair of boots as well. I was in a bad car accident on the way back from the barn last saturday, so my boots were cut off of me. Needless to say, I'm in need of a new pair, with zippers this time!
