So last Monday we had a wind storm, that blew so hard the skylights came off the barn, and some of the trusses cracked and busted on the west side of the barn roof. Then this weekend, we had a blizzard, and they are sagging even more(I'm amazed the roof held, to be honest).Snow blew in the feed room, since the skylight is gone, so that was fun, the whole inside is a soggy mess, thank goodness for the old freezer we keep the feed in!
The insurance adjuster is coming out tomorrow to assess, The barn is old, there's plenty of rot in other places, so please send good vibes that the barn will be a disaster and need torn down and start over.

Some of the supporting poles (it's a pole barn) are completely rotten at ground level, which was really exposed when the wind blew our sandy soil away from them. So about 30% of the supports are just no good at all, about 30% of the roof supports are busted through, and my horses are locked out of that end for safety. Fingers crossed, as I wanted to build a newer barn anyways!
