    Also, do you guys recommend me stopping and letting him out to walk around? Or just haul straight through? It takes 5-51/2 hours not pulling a trailer so it will be a long haul ..

    Now I don't know your horse, but I really think he would be fine bootless. Walking would probably be unnecessary, but if you want to stop, unload him, and just let him stand still on grass for awhile, that would be a nice thing to do and can't hurt. You should stop several times to offer him water, anyway, though he probably won't drink. And having a little hay to much on would be nice (with a fly mask, of course, for flying debris).
