I just went to place an order at Snieder's Saddlery and was quoted $69 for a shipping charge...OMG! Hey I know I'm going to pay more being in Canada... But this was on an order that qualified for free US shipping, and with one heavier item (stated a $3 extra fee). COME ON... If I were a few hours south I would have been charged $3- $7.95. Insane difference.
I'm not picking on Snieders it's every online store based in the US, which is most of them. Not to mention most online stores won't ship to Canada at all. Or say they do and then every item you try to perchance says not available to Canada. THEN of course they can't ship to PO boxes? A lady today says it's illegal to ship to a PO box. I'm sorry but that's my address...
Sigh. We just don't have the same selection of horse goods up here and it's getting harder and harder to get what I'm looking for. Not to mention the price difference on everything horse related. $2 wormer in the US? $20 here. $15 Jolly ball? $30 here. $4 Himalayan salt block? $22 here. Checking pricing on Tribute's Essential K on the net people are complaining about spending $24 a bag and how expensive it is. I just dished out $45 a bag. There's only .12 difference between the US and Canadian Dollar it shouldn't be this ridiculous.
