    Shoes r Ez-boots ?

I have a TWH he gets his hooves trimed every 6wks. Do you think I need 2 have his hoofs covered r shoes just 2 ride on trails. I have been told the EZ-boots r the best way 2 go.

Does he show signs or being sore on the trail? All 3 of my horses ride on rocky trails and gravel without shoes or boots. I would get boots if he needs them, they can be a pain to put on but I much prefer them to shoes. I had a pair of easy boots for trails after my mare was trimmed too short, but she doesn't need them anymore.

Our gelding had a period of time that NO ONE could shoe him and could barely trim his front hooves. Let's not talk about the back ones.

We bought the boots that you mention and they lasted.... ohhhh. 4 easy short rides.

We worked on correcting Chican's problem and can get shoes on his front with no problem. The back? Gets trimmed and that's it. But our guy is good and KNOWS NOT TO TRIM to much off.

Keep in mind that for thousands of years.... horses didn't have shoes. (ours are done every 6 weeks with the exception above and no problems.)

I rode with boots once and I absolutely hated then it was a client of the guy I rode for and they didn't fit right or something. They came off multiple times throughout the conditioning ride and getting up and down multiple times got annoying. I prefer shoes definitely . However I don't do long heavy or harsh rides, the mare was in for endurance training, I barrel race so our trail rides are light conditioning but mostly for relaxing.

I do hard rides in Easyboot Epics all the time. I have only lost one once. They wear out in the toes after, I don't know, maybe a year of use. I put some mileage on them.

I do barefoot when I can, but if the trails are super rocky I am very happy with Easyboot Epics.
