    I second the CO GR8. I LOVE it, and it is pretty hawt lookin' for a helmet ;)

    BUT! Safety first! Choose the one that fits best. They all look like nice helmets!

    Ok I'm kinda torn! I do like the look of the GR8 but I want to look at all my options before I decide. But what I'm looking for is apparently not so easy to find...SOOOO here's what I'm looking for:

    * black velvet
    * the clip/snap rather than the "buckle" closure that most have
    * I don't want a nylon chin strap
    * low profile
    * under $300

    Give me some alternative ideas folks! :)

    I found this one today, anyone ever heard of this CO?? Thoughts? Do you think the little chin strap thing would be annoying, or comfy?

    That is a hunt cap, it isn't ASTM certified. It doesn't really offer protection for your head.

    Personally I wouldnt buy a hat without trying it on - so it may be worth getting one sent to you to try ... as its so hard to tell whats going to be comfy on your head.... the will loose fractionally after a bit of wear...

    I like the IRH hats and found them pretty normal fitting the ones I've used.... and I also know ALOT of people who live the charles owen brand...

    Anyway you can try someone else one ono for an idea on the fit

    I still say you need to invest in a Skull Cap if you are going to stick with Eventing.

    Stick with the helmet you have now, and get a skull cap.

    Skull Cap - what Eventers wear. Designed without the visor, for safety reasons.

    I have a CO and its great I love it. It fits great it has molded to my head like you were told it would. It also comes with a 3 year warranty that god forbid you fall and hit your head CO will take the helmet back replace it with a new one and tear the old one apart to see how it took the impact.
