Should I Replace The Billet Straps?

Question for those of you who are far more saddle savvy then I. The billets straps on my dressage saddle are stretched unevenly. For example, I have to set the girth to hole four on the first strap and hole three on the second strap so that it is tightened evenly and not causing uneven pressure on the horse. Should I replace them, or am I just being picky about aesthetics?
