Show Colours on Dark Chestnut mare.

So I've already sorted the colours I'm going to use on Evo this showing season, but have NO idea what to use on Honey... she's a dark chestnut and I want a colour that's going to suit her, and not look ridiculous on me either.
My best mate reckons I ought to show her in mint/lime green. She uses that on her chestnut gelding... however, as much as I love the colour, I don't want to show my mare in just green.. I just don't really like the idea. And purple's out of the question, as is blue because everyone in the ring is either in purple, blue or purple!!
Here's a picture of her... what I want is some ideas on colours that would suit for a ribboned browband. I was thinking if I did the lime, I could use a pink (I know it sounds clashing with her colour, but I think with the lime it wouldnt be so bad)... tell me if I'm wrong. I've also thought about using yellow on her... but didn't know how well that would go down.



And here's one of us together, so you can tell what colours would look okayish on me... I normally wear purples, (lol), charcoal/greys, yellows and your basics - black, white, blue. I love browns too but would never use that with showing a horse!



Any ideas? Lol I know I'm making a big deal out of nothing, but advice would be lovely.

Aw, she is so cute! How about red? Red is very pretty. If you wanna use lime, then hmm, pink may work.

I would say Fuchia or Purple with Black

Lime + white?

I was thinking last night purple AND yellow :P like a deep purple with a lemon/light yellow in contrast?

Hobby horse website has a color chart for show clothes for you and saddle pad colors and stuff for your horse, it recomends what compliments them the best. Its pretty neat. Google hobby horse clothing.

As a side note my highschool colors were purple and yellow too...I happen to think they are very sharp!
