Red face Silly question about lead ropes..

You know how they come all wrapped up and nice, with the clip coming out of one end and the rest wrapped around it?

How on EARTH do you do that?!

(I have a thing about putting things back the way you got them. It just looks so much neater)

I believe you fold it into three, with the middle third shortest and the loose end longest. Wrap the longest third around the other two until you just have a little loop left at the end, and pull the loose end through the loop.

I'm so going to be doing this to every lead rope I find at the barn tomorrow..

I can't remember anymore. I used to know when I worked in a western wear and tack store when the occasional one came undone.

I do this with my lunge line... Fold it, snake it, loop it. Simple stuff!
