Question Size?

How can you find out what saddle size you need? I'm not talking about what the horses needs just what size a rider would need.

Go to the tack shop and try some out...all saddle brands are different, just like clothes.

Although this chart is a good guide, Western Saddle Seat Sizing Chart . All saddle styles fit differently but this is a good start.

Western I ride in a 15" saddle, although I guess I should be riding in a 14". I'm about 5'1" and weight about 100 pounds. I have to punch holes in my stirrup leathers to make them go up higher in a 15", but I like the little bit of extra room in the saddle. With English I would just go up two inches, so I would be riding in a 16" or 17" English saddle.

Thanks for the replies! I was just curious :)

I was told to get a 16 1/2 saddle for abby but my riding instructer probably meant for both me and my mom.
