sizing question

Hi, I just bought a saddle for my horse, and its coming in the mail in 2 weeks. Before this new western trail saddle, I've been using an english one (it came with my horse when I bought him). I don't know what size girth/cinch to buy for him, because this is the first saddle I've ever bought. His english girth is a 46. What western girth/cinch would that be?

That'd be about a size 32 - 34 Western Girth... you take about 14 inches off, is the rule of thumb I pass onto my customers. But it's just a rule of thumb... the correct size could differ greatly. If you have a chance to try out several sizes, do so.
