Slider Hoof Boot?

Has anyone succesfully created a hoof boot for horses that has a slider plate or something that will allow the horse to perform a slide stop? I want to be able to have my horse slide stop but not have the risk of him slipping in the pasture or when I ride on grass or up or down hill.

I saw something on YouTube, but they didn't work very well, or allow the horse to slide enough so it jarred its hocks.
