Is that just me or is the hackamore to low on the horses nose? I thought they were supposed to be up higher than that.

While I do see a green rider, unless this girl has given you permission to critique, it is in bad taste to be bashing her on a public forum.

Not to turn this into a debate but how would you feel if you were just learning to ride...your horse only rode in a hack...and someone was picking you apart. Snickering about her riding is in bad taste. Not to mention I believe it is against forum rules

Its not so much about her riding its about the hackamore and the horse, if your horse was ridden in a hackamore and a beginner rider was taking lessons would you let them pull and tear off his nose??

I have now watched the video several times...more over the 2:15-18 time where you fear she may have broken the ponys nose. I think that is a vast exaggeration. The pony doesn't even flinch.

A learning rider makes mistakes. Its wrong to critique them without their desire to be critiqued.

I totally, completely agree.

I don't even understand why this thread was started. It's incredibly rude to do.

I never said she broke the ponys nose, everywhere you read or everywhere you train people always say experienced riders should only ride in hackamores.

Everyone has an opinion
