Poor horse. That's all I can say.
Allie, does your store offer discounts? I don't know about such around (unless I'm a member of certain groups for certain stores).

BTW, I found some people in local tack stores also have no clue about what they are selling and asking them for advice doesn't do any good. I rarely ask anymore after my trips back and forth returning -new- stuff.

And OTTB's don't have holes in their training? She's saying it's not an uncommon one for OTTB's and suggesting a gentler solution
Ah, where did I say OTTB's DON'T have holes in their training? And we cannot be specific about breeds, it doesn't matter if it is a flipping QH, Arab, Appendix, Mule - I don't give a $#!+ - regardless of the breed, any horse who goes around gaping their mouth, has holes in their training and or - running away from their riders uneducated hands.

Absolutely. Take this one lady, and multiply her uneducation by thousands - and that's how many others just like her, are out there.

Sad and scarey thought - poor horses.

Poor horses, I really feel sorry for them. I hope that she does realize that she needs a better trainer.

There is no excuse for her actions demanding a discount at that store, I could understand asking for one if she had spend several thousand of dollars there and did so regulary but I have never heard of demanding a discount.

A good cowboy always has a better horse at the end of the ride, a poor cowboy will be afoot reguardless of the horse.

I'm still upset at what happened on Friday. I should have refused service, but my manager was there and she was the one who actually rang her through on the till. She will be using the wire bit and the flash, and trust me, she told me exactly how she used the double twisted wire; that rusty old cowboy was a rusty old cowboy, if he even so much as suggested 1) tying the head down with a tie down or 2) lunging with that bit and side reins.

While yet, people ride with curb chains in their horses mouths and those nasty bicycle chain mouth pieces.

All I can think about are the poor horses who have to deal with ignorant riders.
