Spurs?

Hey guys, I ride Hunters/huntseat/jumpers. Sometimes schooling show dressage classes.
Thinking about investing in spurs, but I'm not sure what type. Any suggestions or is it based on preference/how much pressure you need? Also, how do you measure for them? Would I just have to go to a tack store and try them on, or could I find a pair here or craigslist it and get some for cheaper?

I generally find that they are pretty easy to adjust to your boot size, I still try them on though. To be honest, I couldn't "size" spurs for the life of me, I kinda go by eyesight and it has worked for me so far.

When I ride english I just use some plain ol' clip on ball point spurs, or spurs without rowels.

It's called a counter canter...
