Question Square Saddle Pad, Rounded Saddle?

Hey guys!
Due to fit, I've had to replace my horses saddle (SQHB to FQHB), and a friend gave me an old saddle they've had sitting around for a while. So the new saddle has a rounded skirt (I think that's the word?), and my old saddle has a square skirt, so both my saddle pad and thin show pad are squared. I'm fine with replacing the saddle pad, I was planning on doing that anyways, but my show pad is a whole other thing. Do you think it would look ok to use the square pad & show pad with this new saddle during 4-H shows? I'm afraid it would look weird, because of the round on square, but I don't think there are rounded show pads? Has anyone had this problem/done this?

I'm like you, I can't ever remember having seen any rounded show pads, so I would say that using the square ones would be just fine.

Yep, just browsed a bunch of pictures of show horses and every one of them has a square pad, regardless of whether they have square or round skirts on their saddle.

Haha, my barrel saddle has a square skirt and my pad is a round pad. I think it would be fine for showing in. Especially since it's 4H snd usually the looks are rather lenient.

Ok thanks! :)
That will definitely save me money, and I'm glad I realized this before I sold my old western saddle because I was going to throw in my square pad to the buyer! I would have had to buy a new one.. *sigh* :P
