The Sticky Stuff :)

I've been looking into the stuff you put on leather that makes it more sticky. I have a few questions about it!

1. Which one is the best (in your opinion)?

2. Are there cheaper alternatives (same stuff, maybe not necessarily targeted towards horse owners)?

3. How long does it usually last on the leather?

4. Do I have to clean it off after every use, or can I leave it on in hopes it will still be sticky next time (while not damaging the leather)?

Here are some examples for those who want to see what I'm talking about:

Sekur-Grip - Spooking Solutions from SmartPak Equine

Sporty Sit-Tite Spray - Spooking Solutions from SmartPak Equine

Thanks!

I used to use Saddle Tite once in a while, mainly when doing cross country.
I do not know if you can leave it on, I always wiped it off, just because I am paranoid.
I liked it because it didn't feel like I was locked in position, I could still move my leg (I only put it between my calf and the saddle flap in a small spot on each side), yet it did give me a noticible grip.

Heck, if you want to try it out I will send it to you! PM me an address and I will ship it this week. I doubt I'll use it again.
Looks like it is the same thing as the Sekur-Grip, just remaned. Same package and all.

I've used the sport haft spray. I certainly helps develop good muscle memory. It's easy to spray too much so a little goes a long way. Usually the sticky part will wear off in about an hour in areas of high friction. It's almost near impossible to get off with saddle soap and water but it does come off with leather oil and conditioner.
