My new saddle came last week, a Sensation hybrid treeless saddle! My horse and I are really enjoying it. BUT I still have to get stirrups!
I am testing out a friend's EasyRide endurance stirrups and am not digging 'em!!! My ankles ache when I am riding, but let up as soon as I stop. My instructor and I both think that the pads are too wide for me to comfortably sink my heels where they need to be. Riding in regular western stirrups and english stirrups have never really bothered me like this. And too bad, because I really thought I would like them.
So now I am on the hunt for new stirrups. My problem??? Too many choices! I don't want to spend an arm and a leg, I think $60 will be my limit.....so what kind of stirrups would I like???? I don't want western style and no w-i-d-e endurance. I want something I can enjoy in arena working or enjoying a trail. Anybody have experience with multiple stirrups and wanna make a recommendation? Please??? Benefits of jointed stirrups, different pad materials, etc. explanations needed!
