stock saddle riser?

i've got a friend who bought a stock saddle for his horse (not knowing anything about saddle fitting) and the saddle sits quite low on his wither. it needs a front riser but the normal wintec risers are made for english saddles and look funny with stock saddles. any ideas on where i can get a riser for the stock saddle? any help is great thanks

It sounds like the saddle is a full quarter bar, he should have bought a semi quarter bar. I do not know if there is any risers for the western saddle, i have never seen any. I would try looking for a saddle pad that is thicker at the withers. They do make special saddle pads for horses that do not have a define withers, that may be something to check out. Keep in mind that your friend wants to make sure the horse comfortable. And not having a saddle that fits right may cuz the horse to do things it would normally not do. Best of lucky to both you and your friend!
