Straight or broken bit

We trail ride and I would like to know what is a better bit to use a straight bit or broken bit? Thanks for any assistance.

Depends on what your horse prefers. With a snaffle, meaning no shanks, leverage, curb strap, mine prefer broken, meaning jointed in the center. With a curb, I use a different type of mouth piece which my horse works best in, a Robarts pinchless bit
