Does anyone have a Stubben Artus saddle? If you do, do you like it? And how much would you pay for a used one in really nice condition? Thanks in advance :)
I had one but sold it. 16.5" and 31 cm. I don't jump, so I can't comment on position or whatever. The leather was exquisite, and my saddle was the Noce color. The seat was a little hard, compared to my Edleweiss. The twist was comfortable, and for me, the Bates / Wintec / Collegiate Convertible are too narrow in the twist. Stirrup bars are deeply recessed. It's double leather, I believe.
Stubben discontinued that particular model a few years ago but it's very similar to the Edelweiss CS except perhaps with a slightly wider twist. The only complaint I had with the Artus I owned was that the seat felt a little hard. I liked the Edelweiss CS better for that reason.
They were discontinued by late 2008. There was a pencil (crescent shape) knee roll option, and a triangle knee block option.
I don't know what used ones sell for now. $500 - $700 probably. The panels are flocked.
