Stuck Stirrup bar?

I have an ovation saddle and one of the stirrup bars that the stirrups go on is stuck in the upright position. I have been trying to fix it. Any suggestions?

Oil it. If you use WD40 just make sure you don't get any on the leather. Also, make sure there's no dirt stuck in the joint.

If all else fails, it IS possible to just slide the stirrup leather over it. I never put mine down...

Hmm I tried WD 40 with a rag under and it didn't work. Well one of the stirrup bars is down and my instrutor said they should both be down...

Try some hinge oil. And try to clean out all the dirt like I said before.

You can also try putting the stirrup leather on, then using it to pull on the hinge part so you actually have something to grab on to.

Tap it down with a hammer and use plenty of WD40 or silicone
