I show my Clydesdale in a halter with a bit and browband added and she does very well. The halters in the link Joe4d has given you would be great either in black or brown and maybe ask if they can change the nose adjustment to over the nose rather than under the chin and to sew the throat latch onto the halter. Aslo to make a browband to go with the halter - this is my horse being shown by a friend in her headcollar.

lol! Well I've been eying those for awhile, but don't they look pretty Englishy? I wasn't sure about the look of it for a Western show..but I don't know
