Talking Tack Color for a... Strawberry Blonde?

Hi all!
So, my brand new Haflinger filly is coming home on Saturday! YES!! I went out to the barn yesterday to talk about the game plan with my BO, and she asked me if I had picked a color for her yet. I believe my exact words were "Uhhhh..."

The last time I picked a "color" for a horse, I was in eighth grade, and the horse was pale gray. Everything looked good on her, so I chose... yes... RAINBOW. (I was thirteen!) This resulted in a silly swirly rainbow saddle pad, which I still have, a silly rainbow halter and lead, which I do not, and silly rainbow nylon reins, which I think are now being clung to by little girls as the mare in question is a lesson horse for children these days.

I would rather avoid such a disaster of taste this time around, but no, I haven't thought about color for this girl. Normally, with a chestnut, I would go hunter green or royal blue, but she's a slightly strange shade of strawberry-orange, so I thought I'd ask: What do you think would look good on her?

I beg pardon for the quality, cell phone pictures are the only ones I thought to take--I'll have a storm of new photos on Saturday, I'm sure. That said, this is pretty true to her in-person color:

Now, here's the real conundrum: I do medieval reenactment, and my colors are red and silver. Silver I'm not worried about, but can you think of ANY shade of red that wouldn't clash with her? FAH. I was so sure I'd be getting a Fjord! This wouldn't have been a problem with a plain old brown dun.

Tl;dr: Halter color on a dreamsicle-colored horse?

I think sky blue would look beautiful on her, or maybe a violet or deep purple?

Sky blue, deep purple or maroon would look amazing on her.

Haha, isn't she precious? She's almost TOO pretty to be my horse--I always pictured myself with something scrappy, y'know? But it's her temperament that really captured me. :)

I hadn't thought about sky blue! Ooh, I can just see that being gorgeous. Hadn't considered maroon, either, I like that idea and it's kind of red, which is fabulous!

And FWIW, I've put bright red on a blood bay (very "orangy") gelding and it actually looked pretty decent. Not as good as the maroon, though.

Sky blue and silver!

If you're set on red, go to the paint shop and get those paint swatches. See what looks good then try to match stuff to that color. Burgundy might work.
