I agree, any shade of blue would look good! Sky blue or navy blue would be pretty

My first thought when I read your first post was as yours...Huh???
Then I got to thinking. Here the mahogany bay mare has a black/red halter. Paint gelding with blue eyes has black/blue. Soft bay mare came with purple, that just happens to match the trim on her inherited blanket. I guess I have fallen victim to the My Little Pony color ensemble thing after all.

I'd get a white halter that would not do anything to take attention away from that very pretty face!!! I love looking at those horses.

It's insidious, isnt' it! You never see it coming

Also, thank you. I adore her pretty face!

If you're set on red, go to the paint shop and get those paint swatches. See what looks good then try to match stuff to that color. Burgundy might work.

I love the sky blue and silver idea--it's not so much that I'm set on red and silver, more that I've used red and silver for two years now and it's established. Also, appropriate for my Norse character (long story). The paint swatches is a fantastic idea, though, I'll definitely give that a shot! I'll be making my own saddle pad for her, so that'll make matching a sample a little easier.
