I'm sure you need just one more. One more won't take up that much more room.

Once you have a saddle and pad for every day of the week, you can buy an English saddle and start fresh. English pads come in so many cool colors, patterns, even with nifty embroidery. Not to mention the sheepskin ones, and merino ones, and ones so soft they feel like bunny-fur. And English tack takes up less space, so I'm sure you'd have room for some. You'd of course need an AP, eventing, and dressage one. Each one should have it's own set of cool pads. Ohhhhh the possibilities!

We need to define the terminilogy. If you tack room is fairly neat then you're not a hoarder but a collector. If you're a Tack Junkie then you have to feed your craving and your tack room is likely fairly neat. When everything is in a mess, then yes, you are a hoarder. My tack room is neat and my craving seems to have some connection to cold winter weather altho I suspect that is boredom.

LOL....i watch the A & E show "Hoarders" and they all call themselves collectors.

That is a show I watch to make me feel better if I haven't dusted or vacuumed in a while.

Well, I am Frank, and I am a tack hoarder...**ahem** collector. I collect whatever I see that I like......one horse, and also enough tack for at least 3. But, my friends love to borrow, so it is not wasted. They have the expensive horses that actually place at a show, we just look good.

Howdy! I am either Lady or Casey which ever may suit. I just bought another saddle on impulse. But hey!!!! It fits my horse a hell of a lot better. My "collection" is lead ropes especially. They just come in so many pretty shades. Oh and buckets.

Hi my name is Cowchick and I am addicted to tack.

I have saved searches on EBay and CraigsList.
I refuse to throw away a broken bit, headstall or reins, it simply goes to the graveyard for "spare parts".
I sneek away to auctions to find the next great deal. Husband gets mad because he didn't get invited, he is also my enabler. We like to get "high" together.

    I died at this.

RubieLee is my enabler. And my boyfriend is the crash from the "high".

Hi I'm Xander's mom and I am a new tack hoarder *cough* sorry I meant to say im a new horse owner :) Okay so I've had my gelding for 6 months, of course I have 4 pairs of boots for him, their all different! And just because I ride hunter jumper doesn't mean I don't really really really want a western saddle (and bridle, and reins, and saddle pad) for trail riding and pretending I am a cowgirl! And he would absolutely feel out of place without the really nice leather halter he's getting for Christmas! And yes I DO need three coolers, coolers get wet, you have to have a spare (or two)! And yes all those brushes/shampoos/moisturizers/liniments are ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL, why do you think he's so DARN SHINY?!

Ok that's it for now :)
