Tack + Saddle Help

My first question is what saddle would be better. I am getting a wintec for my horse and have been offered a trade. The girl interested wants to trade her wintec 250 all purpose saddle for my close contact saddle. I love close contacts and currently ride my horse in a wintec close contact that his half leaser bought. She doesn't mind me riding in her saddle but I would like one of my own. So my question is to do eventing, hunter/jumper and schooling shows would the wintec 250 all purpose work well? Or should I hold out and try to sell my saddle and get a wintec close contact?

Also if I do trade my tack will be mismatching. I have all brown tack right now and if I trade I will have a brown bridle, brown breastcollar and black saddle. Is that ok? I am pretty new to showing and such but does it really matter if your tack matches?

It does matter if your tack matches if you are planning to show. It gives a cleaner, more "I'm ready to show" look.
Plus, a close contact is better fitted for jumping than an all purpose, and for hunter/jumpers your tack is almost always brown.
If it were me, I wouldn't do the trade, but get my own saddle that I already knew I liked.

I'll ditto that.

Hunter tack is normally brown, dressage is black. Mismatched tack - especially mismatched tack with a black all-purpose saddle, kind of screams "beginner" in the show ring and will not do you any favors come judging time.

For what you're doing, you'd be better off either buying the saddle you want or keeping your own close contact (assuming it fits decently). A wintec all-purpose is far from the best suited saddle for hunters/jumpers/eventing.
