Ditto HorseMom - unless you ride English and can use Dover Saddlery, you're sadly out of luck! But Dover would work for brushes or grooming equipment.

KO Trading Co. In Fort Worth, Paul Taylor in Pilot Point, and Horse & Rider in McKinney are your best bets for a decent selection, but those will all be 1+ hours away. Possibly more depending on the time of day - traffic is HORRIBLE.

Incidentally, I've not seen anything Australian saddle related at any tack store in the DFW metroplex.

I'm not familiar with the Ft.Worth area tack stores, but yes, in the Dallas area Horse and Rider or Paul Taylor are your best bets. If I had to choose, I would go with Paul Taylor above all. They have an incredible selection in absolutely everything from scissor snap clips for the ends of your reins to a zillion types of halters, reins, billets, cinches, bits, you name it. Horse and Rider is pretty good. They are a little cheaper both in price and quality. They do carry most of the middle of the line saddle brands like Tex Tan, Billy Cook, Simco, etc. and have a good selection there. Paul Taylor, I have to say, is worth the drive. My husband is lucky they are a 45 min drive for me or I would spend WAAAAAY more time there. I could literally spend all day there. And they also have nice saddles but a little more custom to them although still good prices (like between $600-1200). They don't seem to carry as much of the every day brands like Tex Tan or Billy Cook. Never been to Dover but I sure would like to pay them a visit since I do ride English and western. But yes, they are English. And agreed, I haven't seen much Australian gear around here.

Love Teskeys in Weatherford, well worth the drive!
There is also the Cowboy Collection Arena and tack store in Terrell but it would be a bit of a drive southeast of DFW and if you were willing to drive I would go with Teskeys.

The minute I saw this title I thought of Teskey's! I live in Abilene and anytime we drive to Dallas we stop in Weatheford to go see Teskey's. It's like a mall in there!

I live in the middle of the DFW metroplex. Take the time to get to the Teskey's in Weatherford, or in my opinion you will be wasting your time otherwise. KO Trading in Ft. Worth is OK, but hit and miss with many standard items. I order with them more than buy in-store because they don't have the size/color, etc. that I want. Teskey's downtown Ft. Worth is overpriced with limited inventory.
