Samstead if your willing to make the drive the M diamond ranch has some awesome trail horses! It's a bit of a drive but it's worth it! I believe their offices/pickup point is in Rimrock and the ranch is located just out of Sedona. It's a heck of a lot cooler here than it is in Phoenix! While you are visiting Phoenix one must check out the Cowboy Corner! Their are 3 stores Phoenix(new),Prescott, and Camp Verde! I work at the CV store, and I can assure that if you choose to visit the CV shop you will loose your mind over the massive amounts of tack and antiques packed in the shop!

From my house to Phoenix its a aprox a 90 minute drive. I live in Rimrock Az. Im not sure about Gilbert though I avoid the Phoenix area like the plague! Too much traffic for my liking, LOL! I know a few of the ranch hands as they come into the Cowboy Corner regularly! Their really nice and know their horses well! If you come down on a weekend make sure you stop at the Cowboy Corner and say Hi I'll be the one with her hands elbow deep in a can of skidmores working away cleaning polishing and repairing equipment

I second Desert Saddlery. Tom, the owner, is a super nice guy and overall great employees. But aren't breeches pants? I'm not sure they sell clothing, aside from chaps, gloves, helmets, that sorta thing.

As for boots, I've had the best luck with Saba's in Mesa on Power Rd and Southern Ave.

I find that most Sedona horse owners come visit me or my boss at the Camp Verde store. I think they have a couple of shops over their, but the prices are much better in Camp Verde! Sedona can be expensive! Have you decided where you want to ride yet!
