Tackaholics Anonymous

I wanted a new saddle for a new horse so I tried one that really suited me. About a month later I went back and bought 2 more. One for a spare in case my new saddle breaks and another spare in case my spare breaks.
I had 6 saddles and only one horse but I am down to only 4 saddles now. I buy any used blanket that is about his size and probably have a dozen for him.
One summer I spent $5500 on 2 saddles, thought they were too nice to use so I let them sit for years. I sold both of them virtually unused.

Holy smokes!! Tackaholics for sure! I love tack.......love it. Sadly, I can't spend too much and I don't have a ton of room, but I see things all the time I wish I could have.

Oh ME ME ME ME ME!!! I am a tackoholic hehe I collect halters not lead ropes dang it! I also hoard blankets I have 6. 2 fit ok one rubs and the others are ripped or two big. I only have one horse. I also hoard grooming stuff I have every product you can think of!

Im addicted to saddles. I thought I was the only one!!! I am trying to sell some stuff if anyone wants anything!!!

I hoarde in strange uneven ways. I have 2 ponies, 3 bridles but only one set of reins that I switch back and forth constantly. Looking to buy/receive some reins as well as like 3 more bridles this holiday season. I have 2 saddles, one that fits one pony (but not me so well...) and one that fits the other, but I only have one set of leathers and stirrups that I also switch back and forth. I'm really good at it now, so if anyone ever complains about putting on stirrup leathers I laugh. I'll probably be getting a dressage saddle for one of the ponies (with stirrups and stirrup leathers) and pretty soon I'll have to get another for the other. I have like... 20 pads? and 5 sets of 4 polos and 2 sets of 2. I have 4 pairs of open fronts, and I'm probably gunna get another pair, I want T-Boots! I only have like... 4? bits but I'm starting to collect them and I'm eyeing them online constantly.

Okay well I guess its time for me to join.

I'm terrible. I always have a new bridle when I walk out of a tack shop. I go to every horse/tack auction I can, and always come back with a car load of stuff... sometimes another horse.

You know what's really hilarious? I have three saddles for one horse, and only one pad and one cinch for all three!!

Hi everyone, my name is Connie and I am a Tackaholic. We are now down to 4 saddles (til work picks up and my overtime allows more money), at least 12 headstalls half with silver (love that bling and most are older when the silver was silver, of course breast collars to match the headstalls, you can never have too much bling I say and halters all over the place.

Just recently I acquired a dark oil saddle, so of course I am now on the hunt for a silver headstall and breastcollar for that. Little harder to find since all the show stuff is pretty much light oil. I am hoping to pick up an older silver embellished saddle next year. Maybe I will show, maybe not.

I have one english all purpose saddle and am trying very hard not to get all the rest that goes with it.

And then there are way to many saddle pads, but I just haven't found the right one yet.

And so far I have 5 horses for 2 people....can anyone tell me where horseaholics anonymous is ???????
