well yesterday we went to the goodwill and in the shoe isle my mom found a pair of western boots. i tryed them on and to my surprise they fit...soo i bought them in hopes of using them for riding.
come to find out there those expensive heritage western ariat boots! i looked them up on google and some of them are worth 130+!
talk about a good bargain. we bought them for 6 bucks!
the soles are worn and there's a few scuffs on them but other then that they look pretty new! i used my saddle cleaner and saddle oil on them and they weren't even dirty. i think im going to buy those things that you put in tall boots so they stand up straight because every time i take these off the neck of the shoe bends.
they look almost like mine!
They do look in GREAT shape and definately a GREAT bargin since you bought them for $6.
I'm going to run off sometime to the Salvation Army and see if I can find any good deals like that!!!!!
the best score i've done at our local church sale was a pair of brand new ariat paddock boot's, couldn't tell you how much i aid for them at the church sale because it was a $1 a bag day!!!!
Don't use oil on them though, as that will weaken the leather and make them wear faster. Just clean with a damp cloth and use black boot polish. Keep them clean and polished and they will last for a long time!
haha yea i bet you are! Those actually look really comfy. I have a pair of riding boots (not as nice as those :mrgreen and they're still all stiff. I can't wait till they're broken in.
You got one of those bargins TOO! I swear there must be a boot fairy! Because my friend went to good will and she found boots that she thought could be used for riding. And my trainer said that those boots are worth more then $300...
