is there a trail riding/barrel racing bit???

Im just starting out barrel racing my 4 yr old tn walking horse mare.she has been a great trail horse and im trying to find a bit that I can use everyday for trails or barrels, she cannot use a tom thumb bit because it creates sores on her mouth, she has a very light response and is very skittish at thinking of buying a snaffle but what kind is the problem.any help would be great!!!

Full Cheek or D ring Snaffle works best for me.
My guy really likes something with a french link.

I like the o or d ring snaffles that have the dogbone in the middle, or at least that's what I have called them lol. I also like to have copper in there, keeps there mouths moist.

There is no one answer. It has to work for the horse and the rider. Snaffle, S-hacks, beetles, reining bits, etc. You can run a class of 25 horses and each horse can very possibly have a different bit.
