I have been researching treeless saddles and really think that is the way I want to go. Unfortunately I like to do some jumping and most say no jumping. The Barefoot saddle says up to 3 ft and I have no intentions of going beyond that. I currently do 1 ft vert and 2 ft crossrail at the trot and only have 2 total jumps (so no full courses in my future). I don't show or plan on showing. I ride about 3 times a week and jump on average 1 of those times. Rarely, is it more, I more often skip a week and just work on flat work. I do work with ground poles almost every time I ride in an arena. I also love to trail ride and will be getting into that more this summer.
Soo..what are your opinions of the treeless saddle and jumping in it? I saw the Ansur saddles (the Elite jumping and the Konklusion eventing) and loved them but can't afford the $3,000 price tag and doubt that I really need the professional level saddle when all I do is have fun in the arena and trail ride when the weather allows. Thanks!
