Just wondering on opinions. I got Troxel Legacy SLIM profile last weekend. Not like I really wanted that particular one, but that's the ONLY one, which fit my head out of 20 or 30 I tried on Expo (including different troxels, tippery, international in wide price range). Does anyone own it? Is it well made and safe to ride? The word "slim" sounds little suspicious.
Those helmets are fine to ride in... I have friends that use them, my trainer used to school in one and a lot of lesson kids at the barn have them.
If you had trouble finding helmets that fit your head is probably more oval than round, and that's where the "slim" comes from. The sides are slim/not as wide to accomodate oval shaped heads :]
I have one, i got it last week. I had to use the big padding lol, but it's comfy and I really like it. It does feel a little "bulby" on my head though not as sleek, but it will do the job. the other troxels didn't fit right until I tried the legacy.
Thanks for sharing experience, folks! Makes me feel better. Actually there is one more type of Troxel which fit me really good (Orion), but they don't make it anymore.
Yes, this helmet is made well and safe to ride in. I'm pretty sure that on the box that it came in it says that it's ASTM approved? If it does say that it's approved, then it has reached the standards for safety. Enjoy your new helmet!
