Troxel Riding Helmet

Well I was in Tractor Supply and found a great deal on a Troxel riding helmet with the dial fit system in a size large. However I usually need a medium, but thought bc of the dial fit it would be ok. But it isn't . I can't take it back bc it was on clearance bc it didn't have a box. What would you do?

Keep it? Or sell it for really cheap to a friend, or eBay it.
Because there was no box, you can't know if it was actually straight from the factory, so it could be cracked somewhere you can't see...

Supposedly it was a display and they are no longer carrying this style or maybe it was the color (periwinkle)I don't see anything wrong with it but it's just way too big:)

I'm very skeptical of troxels as i've seen a few fall apart - one so easily that it just fell apart when the woman fell off at the trot from a 15h horse and would up with a pretty serious brain injury and memory loss - she had to be medivaced to the hospital...

I prefer the Tipperary's for schooling and GPAs for showing - much better protection. Just my two cents.
