Tush Kush for hubby

MDH went out for a ride with me yesterday for about 2 1/2 hours. He is a thin guy and has NO butt. Truly. It's a huge downfall for him. I personally like a rounder butt on my men, but this is what I've got! LOL.

Seriously though, this causes him pain at his tailbone when riding for more than 20 minutes. Yes, he does have a bad seat, but such is life, and it is better than it was. I've seen far worse. He's probably not ever going to do more than a walk with the horse anyway.

So I looked around for cushions and what I found are the fleece style covers and the gel pads. Does anyone have any experience with these?

I have a Cashel tush cushion that I used to use on an old hard seated saddle. They are very comfy and I'm thinking they may not be as hot as a wool or jell.
Heres one at State line. I got mine pretty cheap used on Ebay

Thanks, V. I'll have to see if something like that is available around here. I definitely a "hands on" shopper. I don't like to buy it if I can't touch it! I thought the fleece would not hold much heat and MDH definitely wouldn't mind the heat anyway. He is ALWAYS cold. Sheesh. I mean, he wears long underwear in the summer!
