Vaulting Surcingles - Educate me

So I am looking into getting a vaulting surcingle to use in our lesson program. From what i've pieced together they can be a lot like saddles, you get what you pay for.

So I want to know what to look for and how to know I am getting a quality one. I don't need anything crazy like the competition surcingles. I just need something basic but comfortable for the horse.

I also am likely going to be buying used as new ones seem to be just a bit of a stretch for what we will be using it for.

So yes, educate me and heck if you see a used one please let me know!

We have a couple of older ones at the therapy barn where I volunteer, but I don't know anything about purchasing. Maybe try posting your question in the therapeutic riding section, as it tends to be pretty common equipment for many therapy places. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
