I've been looking into wade saddles and was wondering if anyone (or someone you know) has a saddle maker that they have used and liked? I know it'll cost $$$ for a custom saddle, but I'm saving my dollars for that day!
I am a big fan of Corriente saddles. I have one and I know quite a few people (working ranch hands/cowboys) that ride in them and all of them are happy with their saddles. They do have a standardized tree size (FQHB, 7" gullet) that fits most standard stock horses but everything else is custom. I got mine for just under $700. Corriente Saddle Co.
I know it's not a Wade, but this is the one that I've been breaking all my colts in for a little over a year.
^^^ I second what Smrobs said about Corriente. I bought a barrel saddle from them this year. (under $500 shipped) It's an amazing saddle. Very comfy. I am hoping in the next year or two I can get a wade or association saddle from them. Corriente has good saddles that are pretty affordable.
