Water Loops

I am considering having a custom set of water loops done for my reins. I ride in single gaming reins and they currently do have water loops but I want to replace them with something more fun My question is this...the reins I have are a poly/yacht rope material, not leather. Upon inspection, I can see there is a hole in the ends of them where the water loop ties go thru and secure them on. It appears I could just untie them and then reattach the new ones thru that same hole? I just wonder if there is any issue with integrity or strength etc in doing this? I would assume not but thought I would ask. Also, if a person wanted to replace the reins is there somewhere that actually sells the rope reins with the hole already in them but sans the loops? I always see them with loops already attached. Thanks for any input. Thanks!
